Could it be that the image of Mary Magdalene has been so distorted that a teacher who was known as apostle to the apostles became known as a prostitute and the writing attributed to her was lost for over1800 years? The Gospel of Mary Magdalene was rediscovered in 1896 and translated into English in the 1950’s. The gospel reveals teachings that were stripped out of the New Testament and called heresy. However, these teachings that Mary received from Jesus remain relevant for spiritual understanding today.
