Anyone is welcome to attend Unity of Merritt Island without being a member. There are no dues, fees, or other financial requirements and you need never become a member if you do not choose to do so.
Membership is a personal choice. It is for those desiring to make a deeper commitment to their spiritual growth and choose to make Unity of Merritt Island their spiritual home through which to do it.
Unity membership is unique. The objective is to help you live a more effective, Spirit-centered life. The most important requirement for membership is the desire to be in a closer relationship with Spirit. Members are asked to do their best to live Truth teachings on a daily basis. Members serve a significant role in the foundational strength of the ministry through their attendance, participation, and consciousness.
There is a certain thrill that comes through being associated with people of like mind. Sunday services, weekly classes and fellowship activities offer opportunities to receive and share ideas with fellow Truth seekers. Lasting and mutually beneficial friendships develop, new interests are cultivated and life becomes all that God intended it to be.
BECOMING A MEMBER IS SIMPLE:
- Attend a one hour orientation class
- Attend the Commitment to Membership Ceremony
(Held during a designated Sunday Service)
Members may maintain a voting or non-voting status. Completing the above three steps you have the status of a non-voting member.
TO BECOME A VOTING MEMBER, in addition to the above:
- Attend one Unity class a year
- Actively participate in the ministry through the tithing of your time, talents and/or treasure.
